The Power of Storytelling: Why Hiring a Documentary Style Photographer is a Must for Your Wedding

Weddings are one of the most important events in our lives, and they’re filled with meaningful moments and memories that we want to treasure forever. A great way to capture these moments is through hiring a professional photographer, but not just any photographer, a documentary-style photographer. This type of photographer focuses on capturing real, unscripted moments as they happen, allowing you to relive your wedding day in a more natural and authentic way.

Here are some of the benefits of hiring a documentary-style photographer for your wedding:

  1. Natural, Authentic Images: Documentary-style photographers aim to capture the real emotions and moments of your wedding day without staging or posing. The result is a series of natural and authentic images that tell the story of your day in a way that is true to who you are as a couple.

  2. Timeless Memories: Documentary-style photography has a timeless quality to it, which means that the images you receive will be just as beautiful and meaningful years down the line as they are today.

  3. Stress-Free Experience: One of the most significant benefits of hiring a documentary-style photographer is that it takes the pressure off of you and your partner. You don’t have to worry about posing for the camera or trying to look perfect. Instead, you can simply focus on enjoying your wedding day and letting the photographer capture the moments as they unfold.

  4. Personalized Story: Every wedding is unique, and a documentary-style photographer will help to tell your personal story through their images. They’ll capture the small details and moments that are special to you, creating a customized collection of memories that are truly your own.

  5. Candid Moments: Documentary-style photographers are experts at capturing candid moments that might otherwise go unnoticed. These moments can be some of the most meaningful and emotional of the day, and they’ll be captured forever in the images you receive.

Hiring a documentary-style photographer for your wedding is a must if you want to capture the real emotions and moments of your special day. These photographers offer a natural, stress-free experience, timeless memories, and a personalized story that is unique to you and your partner. So, if you want to treasure the memories of your wedding day for years to come, consider hiring a documentary-style photographer today.

The phenomenal team at Lovely Creatures weaved their magic, bringing to life the intimate moments, raw emotions, and stunning aesthetics of this unforgettable day.

A Setting Steeped in Nostalgia

Ever thought of a backyard garden as a stage for a grand love story? Well, Emily and Pares did! The garden we're talking about is not an ordinary one, though. It's where Emily's sweetest childhood memories were born and nurtured, and the very place they chose to celebrate their union. Imagine the beautiful garden of Emily's childhood, now transformed into a summer symphony of warm hues, billowing fabrics, rustic dried grasses, and inviting rugs. A dreamy oasis, wouldn't you say?

A Boho-Bollywood Fantasy Unfolds

The unique fusion of the Bohemian style with traditional Indian elements set the tone for the wedding. The decor was a living, breathing piece of art, complete with a mandap that was a Bohemian wonder! Adorned with a riot of colors, flowers, and cherished family photographs, the mandap reflected Emily's fondness for the 70s' boho vibe. Truly, it was a sight to behold!

Embracing Traditions, With a Twist

Navigating traditions can be a tad nerve-wracking, especially if you're a first-timer. But fear not when you have a knight like Pares by your side! Emily, new to the grandeur of Indian weddings, had her reservations. But Pares, the understanding partner that he is, stepped in to make it a celebration that Emily would cherish, as much as he would. So, they toned it down a notch, focusing on intimacy, warmth, and inclusivity.

The Ceremonial Dance of Two Cultures

The ceremony was led by a priest from the Hare Krishna Temple in Watford, beautifully encapsulating the spirit of a traditional Indian wedding while offering an experience everyone could connect with. Most of the wedding was conducted in English, allowing everyone to follow along, while the spiritual rituals retained their original Sanskrit charm. Talk about the best of both worlds!

Cherished Moments and Personal Touches

The procession of the bride, which is usually led by an uncle in traditional Indian weddings, was given a heartfelt twist. Emily was accompanied down the aisle by her father and brother, set to the soulful melody of Bon Iver's "Holocene". It was a sight that moved everyone, a testament to the close-knit bond they shared. Now, that's a personal touch that we absolutely loved!

The Party Begins!

And guess what? The party was just getting started! The reception was nothing short of a wild house party - with mouth-watering Indian food, heaps of chips, indie music tracks that got everyone on the dance floor, and a surprise element - a vegan food truck that rolled in just as the evening began to wrap! A truly fun, unique and inclusive wedding reception, that's what Emily and Pares pulled off!

Words of Wisdom from the Newlyweds

Want to know what Emily and Pares believe? "This is your day. Make it your own, focus on what's important to you. That's what truly counts!" A splendid reminder for anyone planning their special day.
